world of warcraft action figures
Collectors appear in all stripes, those who genuinely have a very love for what they’re collecting, people who just love the chase of being able to complete a collection, and people that hope their investment will sometime be worthwhile. One doesn’t have to be among the many uncounted players of Warcraft to collect its actions figures. The younger fans though, or the young in mind, often have a difficult time resisting the urge to consider the warcraft action figures of these box. The slightly older players will obtain the warcraft action figures reminiscent of He-Man figures sold within the 80’s.
You can find four main companies that started manufacturing warcraft figures since Warcraft II. These are Blizzard Entertainment, Toycom, State of the Art (SOTA), and DC Direct (of DC Comics). From these companies, DC Direct has produced the biggest line of figures, twenty five miniatures including state of the art action figures, through 2009.
Blizzard, the company behind World of Warcraft, or WoW has only released 5 figures. These are Human Footman, Orc Grunt, Malfurion Stormrage, Muradin Bronzebeard, and Thrall.
Toycom has produced 6 figures all from Warcraft 3. SOTA released only three figures that are: Tauren Shaman, Undead Warlock, and Jungle Troll Voodoo Priest.
DC Direct released its first compilation of warcraft action figures in 2007. This first series was comprised of Meryl Felstorm: Undead Warrior, Rehgar Earthfury: Orc Shaman, Valeera Sanguinar: Blood Elf Rogue, plus a deluxe figure, Illidan Stormrage: Night Elf Demon Hunter. DC has released five series in the time of the end of 2009.
As Steve Carell’s character, Andy, proved in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, having a mint toy collection can be a nice investment. Those not familiar with WoW, but searching for the next “hot” collectible, might want to look into these wow action figures because WoW is really a Guinness World Record holding massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), holding the record for many subscribers, over 11 million. With increasing numbers of followers worldwide it’s likely a market will exist in the future for anyone collectors who could actually purchase the warcraft action figures now and hold onto them. And unlike the He-Man figures these WoW action figures aren’t currently being produced in higher quantities and sold in retail outlets.
